Charles Hopley

Charles was born in November 1772 in Shocklach and his baptism took place there on November 1st, 1772.¹

Charles' father was William Hopley and his mother was Anne. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Hopley and Catherine Lewis. He had a brother named Anne. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 44 in March 1817 in Manchester. His burial was on March 14th, 1817 in Manchester.²³

- William's parents, Thomas and Catherine, also named their youngest son Charles, baptised 11 Feb 1770.
  
  In 1794, Charles's uncle Peter Hopley married Esther in Eccles so the family had ties to Manchester. Peter died in 1798, but Esther lived (died 1832), possibly with the assistance of Charles
  
  In 1817, Charles Hopley of the Hound Dog Tavern, Manchester died, aged 44.
