James Hargreaves

James was born in 1810 R Cliviger & Mereclough.¹

Birth Notes
- Aged 30 in 1841
  Aged 41 in 1851 at Cliviger
  Aged 51 in 1861, Born Pinfold
  
  There are several places called pinfold. This may be Pinfold Road, North of Burnley or another Fold (farm) near Cliviger.

James' father was Henry Hargreaves and his mother was Jane (Jenny) Whitaker. He had two brothers and two sisters, named John, William, Sarah and Ann. He was the fourth oldest of the five known children.

- James was a Wool comber when James and Benjamin baptised and 1841 census
  
  In 1841, James and Mary (both 30) were at Mereclough with John (10), William (8), Jane (6), Benjamin (4), and Ann (2). Parents Henry and Jane Hargreaves (78 & 70) were neighbours at Greenfield Nook.
  
  In 1851, James and Mary (41 & 40) and family were living at Mereclough, C liviger (Burnley Union).
