Peggy's father was Arthur Thomas Hamer and her mother was Bessie Rogerson.  Her maternal grandparents were George Edward Rogerson and Maggie Jackson. She had two half-brothers named Peter and Arthur.  She died from cancer at the age of 71 on August 25th, 1995 in Birkenhead.  The funeral took place on September 1st, 1995 at St. Marys (Upton).  She was cremated on September 1st, 1995 at the Landican Cemetery.^2 2
