Hannah (Annie) Hale

Hannah, known as Annie, was born on May 14th, 1858 in Huddersfield and her baptism took place on August 30th, 1874 in Toxteth Park.¹²

Annie's father was <Unknown> and her mother was Louisa Smith. Her paternal grandparents were John Hale and Alice Malloy. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Robert, Frederick, Sarah, Margaret, Emily, Charlotte and Mary. She was the sixth oldest of the eight children.

  When Hannah (25) marries James Edward Thorndike (age 42) from Massachetuas on 10 Oct 1883 in Toxteth, Liverpool, she describes her father John as a Merchant, not a Cigar Maker.
  
  After Hannah was married, she lived in England for about 7 years (where Mary, Robert and Franklyn were born) before emigrating about 1891 (before the April UK census) to Bayonne, Hudson, NJ, USA.
