Nellie's father was George Eddowes and her mother was Nellie Weeden. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Eddowes and Mary Ann Hughes; her maternal grandparents were George Henry Weeden and Sarah Ann Breakwell. She had five brothers and a sister, named Frederick, Thomas, William, Robert, James and Elsie. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 79 on January 7th, 1985 in Rhuddlan.²
