Rebekah was born in November 1805 in Farndon and her baptism took place there on November 3rd, 1805.¹

Rebekah's father was Randle Hopley and her mother was Anne Povey. Her paternal grandparents were William John Dod-Hopley and Hannah Hopley. She had a sister named Christian. She was the older of the two children. She died at the age of 33 in 1838 in Handley. Her burial was on September 29th, 1838 in Malpas.²

- Randle's real estate was then left to his two infant daughters, Rebecca and Christiana (unless he later had a son, in which case the son would inherit the estate, and the daughters £1000 each).
  
  Two of Randle's friends Robert Caldercot of Cuddington and Thomas Jones of Aldresey were the executors, and also guardians of his infant daughters.
