William Collings

William was born in March 1840 in Bolton and his christening took place there on July 26th, 1840.¹²

William's father was John Collings and his mother was Sarah Williams. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Edmund, George, Ellen, Harriet, Mary and Happy. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children.

- No father is shown for William, and birth registered in East Bolton (not L.B.) so may be of another family. The William that married Esther Wallbank is another, son of Walter Collinge, a Collier.
