Miles was born in January 1853. Miles' father was Benjamin Joseph Buckley and his mother was Harriet E Lewis. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Buckley and Julia Chapman. He had eight brothers and a sister, named Seymour, Albert, Lewis, Elijah, Charles, Edward, Norman, Henry and Louise. He died at the age of 56 on June 30th, 1909 in New York (NY).¹
