General Notes
From 1796 to 1801, Joseph and Sarah of Great Bolton (or L.B. in 1797) had their children baptised st St. Peter's,, Bolton. Then, from 1803, the baptisms took place at St Mary, Deane Parish. From 1813, the records show Joseph was a weaver.
In 1841, Jopseph and Ann Allen (both 60) were in Shaw Street, Bolton with Betty (20) and Sarah (14), possible grandchildren.
In 1851, Joseph (74 and a Loomer, born Warrington) was married to Ann (75) and living at Shaw Street, Bolton Emmanuel, East Bolton.
In 1861, Joseph Allen, aged 84, born Warrington, was living in the cellar under 137 Blackburn Street, Bolton
