Job was born in 1827 in Kearsley and his baptism took place on September 30th, 1830 at St. Saviour (Ringley).1  Job's father was James Allen and his mother was Mary Urmson. He had a brother and a sister, named James and Ann.  He was the oldest of the three children. He had a half-sister named Mary.
