Walter was born on August 26th, 1894 in Graniteville, Missouri.1   Walter's father was Albert Trauernicht and his mother was Anna Vollath.  He was an only child.  He died in an accident or as a result of an injury, Car Accident, at the age of 44 on March 17th, 1939 in Clayton, St. Louis County, Missouri.1

Walter and Irene were married.  They had a daughter named Helen.
