Ferdinand was born on November 15th, 1900.1   Ferdinand's father was Gottlieb Friedrich Bartels and his mother was Diena Sophia Mina Woeschter. He had three brothers and a sister, named Friedrich, Henry, Otto and Wilhelmina.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 75 on February 8th, 1976.2 



Ferdinand's first family

Ferdinand and Minnie were married on November 5th, 1922.2   They had four sons and three daughters, named Alfred, Norman, Earl, Kenneth, Helen, Bernice and Faye.
