Mary was born on August 12th, 1863 in Hessen-Darmstadt area, Germany and her confirmation took place on April 22nd, 1878 at Evangelical Church, North of Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois.1   Mary's father was <Unknown> and her mother was Catherine Elisabeth Kraftt. She had a brother named Henry.  She was the younger of the two children.  She was adopted by Karl Friedrich Bangert who also adopted Henry. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Charles and Anna.  She died at the age of 69 on July 13th, 1933 at Home of Kate Heepke, Illinois.  She was buried at the St. James Cemetery, North of Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois.1 1 



Mary's family

Mary and Henry were married in a religious ceremony on October 18th, 1883 at Evangelical Church, North of Edwardsville, Madison County, Illinois by Reverend H. Rahn.1   They had four sons and six daughters, named Fredie, Henry, William, Herman, Emma, Anna, Louisa, Grace, Katie and Minnie.
