Martha was born in 1658 in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island, USA.1   Martha's father was John Tripp and her mother was Mary Paine.  Her paternal grandparents are John Tripp and Elizabeth "Isabel" Moyses; her maternal grandfather was Anthony Paine and her maternal grandmother is Rose Weeden. She had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Peleg, Joseph, Abiel, James, Mary, Elizabeth and Alice.  She was the youngest of the nine children.  She died at the age of 59 on October 10th, 1717 in Portsmouth, Newport, Rhode Island, USA.1
