John was born in March 1759 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, USA.  John's father was Johannes Albertus Myers and his mother is Catherine. He had three brothers named Simon, Albertus and Peter Albert.  He was the second youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 81 on February 24th, 1841 in Hunterdon County, New Jersey, USA.  He was buried in Old School Baptist Cemetery.
