Effie L was born on July 29th, 1864 in Cass County, Indiana, USA.1   Effie L's father was James Klepinger and her mother was Sarah Houston.  Her maternal grandparents were Harvey Houston and Isabella Hamilton. She had a brother and two sisters, named Albert James, Clara May and Jennie E.  She was the second oldest of the four children.  She died at the age of 86 on April 22nd, 1951 in Logansport, Cass, Indiana, USA.  She was buried in Keeps Creek Cemetery.
