Matilda L. was born on August 18th, 1853 in Georgetown, Scott, Kentucky, USA.1 Matilda L.'s father was David G. Hale and her mother was Mary Virginia Hawkins. Her maternal grandmother is Jane. She had two sisters named Anna Belle and Harriet Beauregarde "Hattie". She was the oldest of the three children. She died at the age of 76 on March 22nd, 1930 in Indianapolis, Marion, Indiana, USA. She was buried on March 25th, 1930 in Crown Hill Cemetery.2
