Richard was born on February 6th, 1718 in New Castle County, Delaware, USA.  Richard's father was George Gregg and his mother was Sarah Hogg.  His paternal grandfather was William Gregg and his paternal grandmother is "Unknown". He had two brothers named John and George.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 36 on October 21st, 1754 in New Castle County, Delaware, USA.1
