Thomas was born on May 1st, 1651 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, USA.1   Thomas' father was George Colton and his mother was Deborah Goodner.  His paternal grandfather was James Colton and his paternal grandmother is Elzabeth Hobbidge. He had four brothers and three sisters, named Isaac, Ephraim, John, Benjamin, Mary, Sarah and Hepzibah.  He was the fourth oldest of the eight children.  He died at the age of 77 on September 30th, 1728 in Springfield, Hampden, Massachusetts, USA.  He was buried in Longmeadow Cemetery.2 3
