Mary Elizabeth Allen 
Mary Elizabeth was born on February 18th, 1838. Mary Elizabeth's father was David Allen and her mother was Eliza A McCown. Her maternal grandparents were James M. McCown and Nancy Mourning Lewis. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Elijah Thomas, William Mekes, James Lewis, Samuel David, John, Nancy Savannah, Sarah Ann and Margaret Mourning. She was the third oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 38 in 1876.-
