Paul was born on 24-Sep-1908 in Gumbinnen. Paul's father was Michael Smollich and his mother was Friedericke Prischmann. His paternal grandparents were <Unknown> and <Unknown>. He was the second of five children. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Willi, Fritz, Martha and Frieda. He died, at the age of 40, in 1948.
