Sy Abdullah's father is Sy Hasni and his mother is Sh Zainab.  His paternal grandparents were Sy Ishak and Tuan Mahani; his maternal grandparents were Sy Jaafar and Sh Fatimah.  He has three sisters named Sh Jamilah, Sh Salmah and Sh Zahrah.
