Michael and Kitty were married on November 5th, 1924 in St Peter and St Pauls, Cork. They had a son named Edward.

Edward was born on October 4th, 1925 in Cork. He died due to a medical problem at the age of 61 on August 5th, 1987 in Dublin. He was buried in Rathcooney Cemetery, Cork.
