William Mulcahy

William was born on July 24th, 1915 in Youghal, Co Cork. William's father was James Mulcahy and his mother was Mary Ellen Roche. His paternal grandparents were Denis Mulcahy and Catherine Lawton; his maternal grandparents were Michael Roche and Eliza Doocey. He had four brothers and eight sisters, named Denis, Michael, James, Thomas, Catherine, Helena, Margaret, Elizabeth, Mary, Elizabeth, Bridget and Mary. He was the second youngest of the thirteen children.
