Bridget Agnes Hawkins

Bridget was born on January 20th, 1923 in Co Galway and her baptism took place on August 22nd, 1922 in New Inn.  Her godfather was Michael Ryan and her godmother was Bridget Ryan.  Bridget's father was Michael Hawkins and her mother was Julia Moran.  Her paternal grandparents were Patrick Hawkins and Mary Fallon; her maternal grandparents were Thomas Moran and Mary Warde. She had three brothers and two sisters, named Patrick, Michael, Vincent, Mary and Kathleen.  She died at the age of 82 on May 20th, 2005 in Swindon.¹ 

‌Bridget and John were married in a religious ceremony on October 18th, 1950 in New Inn by priest H Murrey and witnessed by Patrick Flanagan & Kathleen Hawkins.  They had a son and four daughters, named Sean, Mary, Colette, Laura and Clare.
