William Henry Hannon

William was born on July 17th, 1880 in 16 Smithfield,   Dublin City and his baptism took place on July 17th, 1880.  His godmother was Maria A Halligan.  William's father was Michael Henry Hannon and his mother was Mary Redmond.  His paternal grandparents were Daniel Hannon and <Unknown>; his maternal grandparents were Michael (Michl) Redmond and Mary Pitts. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Patrick, Michael, Mary and Catherine.  He was the oldest of the five children.  He died from a heart attack, Coronary Stenosis, at the age of 81 on December 10th, 1961 in Lower Baggot St.  He was buried on December 13th, 1961 in Deans Grange Cemetery.¹ 

‌William and Bridget were married in a religious ceremony on May 21st, 1907 in Aughrim Street Church by priest Charles W O'Carroll and witnessed by Bernard and Margaret Gilligan.  They had three sons and a daughter, named Michael, William, Patrick and Mary.
