Mary Flanagan

Mary was born on March 20th, 1868 in Oranmore and her baptism took place there on March 22nd, 1868.¹   Her godfather was Petewr Devany and her godmother was Mary Carr.  Mary's father was Patrick (Patt) Flanagan and her mother was Bridget (Biddy) Fahy. She had three brothers and a sister, named Thomas, Patrick, Martin and Margaret.  She was the second youngest of the five children.  She died at the age of 29 on November 16th, 1897 in Galway Workhouse.

‌Mary and John were married in a religious ceremony on February 21st, 1895 in Ballinacourty witnessed by Robert Corbet, Mary Egan.
