Cornelius van der Schallie

Cornelius was born on May 1st, 1749 in Dordrecht and his baptism took place there on May 4th, 1749.  Cornelius' father was Cornelis Corneliszn van der Schalie/Schally and his mother was Aeltje of Alida Cornelis van der Borcht of Burg of Borg.  His paternal grandparents were Cornelis van der Schalie/Schally and Janneken Gerris van Heel / Goedhard / Goedheid; his maternal grandparents were Cornelis van der Burg and Aeltje de Seeuw. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Schalk Corneliszn, Cornelis, Hijda, IJda/Yda/Ida and Jannigje/Jannije.  He was the oldest of the six children.  He died at the age of 15 on February 2nd, 1765.
