Maertge was born in 1597 in Schiedam.  Maertge's father was Louris Pieterz and her mother was Diewertje Jansen.  Her paternal grandparents were Pieter Lourisz and <Unknown>.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 63 in 1660 in Schiedam.
