Catharina was born on June 12th, 1847 in Loosduinen.1  Catharina's father was Leendert van der (H)Ark and her mother was Catharina van der Lans.  Her paternal grandparents were Hendrik van der Hark and Dirkje 's-Gravenmade; her maternal grandparents were Cornelis van der Lans and Johanna van der Spek.  She was an only child.  She died at the age of 48 on September 17th, 1895 in Loosduinen.1
