Jan Willensz Esselman 
Jan Willensz was born in 1821 in Monnickendam. Jan Willensz's father was Willem Harmensz Esselman and his mother was Neeltje Klaase Groot. His paternal grandparents were Harmen Esselman and Annetje / Antje Jans Hillebrands; his maternal grandparents were Klaas Jansz. Groot and Bartha Hendriksd Bruijns. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Klaas Willemsz, Harmen Willemsz, Willem Willemsz, Antje Willems and Bartha Willemsd. He was the third youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 80 on February 27th, 1901 in Nieuwer-Amstel.-
