Page 125: Van Doesburgh, Hendrick Andriesse, alias Hendrick Driessen, was in Beverwyck as early as 1654 . . .deceased 1664. His wife was Maritie Damen, widow of Dirk Van Eps; by her he had 1 daughter, Jannetje.
    
        1642 . . . He came to New Netherland on the ship denHouttuyn with his sister, Geertruy Andriese and her then husband, Hendrick Albertsz. They left June 1642 and arrived August 1642. Geertruy Andriessen was listed as "Geertruijt Dries van Doesburgh", (age 23 in year 1642, birthyear at 1619), on ship records.
    
        1652 . . . Minutes of Fort Orange and Beverwyck, 1652 -1656. Ordinary Session, May 14, 1652. Hendrick van Driest, bring summoned to appear, is asked why he enlarged his garden on his own account by moving his clapboard fence? The accused admits guilt, whereupon Mr. Abraham Staets and Jan Labate are appointed to make an inspection and to take such measures as they shall see fit.
