William Bell

William was born on November 22nd, 1859. William's father is !!!! William Bell and his mother is Mary Hudson. His maternal grandparents were William Hudson and Catherine Long. He had a brother and two sisters, named Tom, Emma and Anne. He died at the age of 88 in 1947.

  born at Huyton/Hoyton
  died at Rhyl
  Worked at Bowkerstead Farm Saterthwaite until 21, then he joined the railway. His grandfather William Hudson farmed it and when he died in 1879, William Bell was 20 or 21. The farm then possibly passed out of the Hudson family or was taken over by William Hudson, William Bell's uncle. He said that he walked to Ulverston School, which was 5 miles away, so he may have lived with his grandparents.
