Safford Stevens Sr 
Safford was born on April 26th, 1742 in Canaan, Litchfield County, Connecticut.1 Safford's father was Andrew Stevens Sr and his mother was Ester Safford. His paternal grandparents were Thomas Stevens Sr and Mary Hall. He had five brothers and six sisters, named John, Andrew, Stephen, Nathaniel, Oliver, Mary, Esther, Dorothy, Amy, Olive and Desire.
