Henry, known as de Normandie, was born on March 5th, 1133 in , Le Mans, Maine et Loire, France and his christening took place on March 25th, 1133 in Le Mans, Sarthe, France.1  De Normandie's father was Count Geoffrey (Duke of Normandy) Plantagenet V and his mother was Maud (Queen of the English / Lady of the English) of England.  His paternal grandparents were King Foulques (King of Jerusalem) le Jeune V and Countess Eremburge (Countess of Maine) (de Maine); his maternal grandparents were King Henry (King of England) I and Empress Maud (Empress of Almain). He had two brothers named Geoffrey and William.  He died at the age of 56 on July 6th, 1189 in Chinon, , Indre-et-Loire, France.  He was buried on July 7th, 1189 in Fontevrault-l'Abbaye, , Pays de la Loire, France.1 1
