Eduardo's father is Genaro de Araujo and his mother was Inalda Ferreira dos Santos Pimentel.  His paternal grandparents were Antonio Bezerra de Araujo and Maria José; his maternal grandparents were Edson Nabuco Ferreira dos Santos Pimentel and Antonieta Ribeiro Correia.  He has a brother and two sisters, named Edson, Katia Regina and Karla.
