Maria, known as Mary Violusia, was born in 1935 in Lodz, Poland. Mary Violusia's father was Alexander “Oles” SZWARC and her mother was Sonia BRZEZINSKA. Her paternal grandparents were Issucher Mosze SZWARC and Salomea Sura GLICKSMAN. She had a brother and a sister, named George and Liliana. She is the youngest of the three children.-
