Samuel Edward Rankin 
Samuel Edward was born on July 21st, 1866 in Illinois.1 Samuel Edward's father was Albert Augustus Rankin and his mother was Louisa Moffitt. His paternal grandparents were William James Rankin and Olive Brown; his maternal grandparents were John Moffitt II and Maraget Dawson. He had three brothers and three sisters, named William Albert, George Hoyt, John Moffitt, Mary Louisa, Margaret Olive and Olive. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 64 on February 24th, 1931.-
