John Moffitt III

John was born on March 2nd, 1846 in Chillicothe, Peoria, Illinois, United States.¹ John's father was John Moffitt II and his mother was Maraget Dawson. His maternal grandparents were John Andrew Dawson and Margaret Littel. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Joshua, Alonzo, Hugh, William, Minerva, Matilda, Louisa and Mary Mariah.
