Imprisoned in the Tower of London 1461 - 1469 after his father was killed at the Basttle of Towton fighting against King Edward IV. Restored to his estates in 1469, and formally invested as Earl of Northumberland 1473. 1471 - Fought by the side of King Edward IV at the Battle of Barnet against Warwick the Kingmaker and his brother Montagu (bothof whom were killed). 1489 - Murdered by the mob for helping to raise an unpopular tax.
