Elizabeth Courtenay 
Elizabeth's father was Sir Hugh de Courtenay, Earl of Devon and her mother was Margaret de Bohun. Her maternal grandparents were Humphrey de Bohun, 4th Earl of Hereford and Elizabeth of Rhuddlan. She was an only child. She died on August 7th, 1395.General Notes

Elizabeth Courtenay (d. 7 August 1395), married firstly, Sir John de Vere (d. before 23 June 1350) of Whitchurch, Buckinghamshire, eldest son and heir apparent of John de Vere, 7th Earl of Oxford, by Maud de Badlesmere, and secondly, Sir Andrew Luttrell of Chilton, in Thorverton, Devon
Given her loyal servitude to the royal family, Elizabeth received 200 pounds from her close cousin, Richard II of England. Courtenay used this loan to buy large properties of land, which increased the family's wealth by leaps and bounds. This act would make her son Sir Hugh famous throughout England.
