Kathern was born in 1592 in Hogsthorpe, Lincoln, England and her christening took place there on February 24th, 1592.  Kathern's father was Phyllip Racke and her mother was Anne Wryght. She had a brother and a sister, named Johan and Grace.  She was the oldest of the three children.
