John was born in 1792 in Keelby, Lincolnshire, England and his baptism took place on September 30th, 1792 in Saint Bartholomew Church, Keelby, Lincolnshire, England.  John's father was Mr William Rack and his mother was Mrs Sarah Mumby.  His paternal grandparents were Mr John Rack and Mrs Rebecca NK; his maternal grandparents were Mr William Mumby and Mrs Sarah NK. He had three brothers and a sister, named Richard, William, Joseph and Rebekah.  He was the youngest of the five children.  He died at the age of 78 in 1870 in Great Coates, Lincolnshire, England.  He was buried on January 3rd, 1870 in Great Coates, Lincolnshire, England.1
