Walter was born on October 20th, 1872 in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, India and his baptism took place there on November 14th, 1872.  Walter's father was Mr Adam Paxton and his mother was Mrs Laura Frances Anne Macleod.  His maternal grandparents were Mr Donald Macleod and Mrs Ann Catherine Heron. He had three brothers named George, Evelyn and Allan.  He was the youngest of the four children.  He died at the age of 69 on June 9th, 1942 in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India.
