Ms May Hawes

May was born in 1906 in Grimsby, Lincolnshire, England. May's father was Mr Thomas Charles Crane Hawes and her mother was Mrs Elizabeth Clark. Her maternal grandparents were Mr Charles Henry Clark and Mrs Esther Dalton. She had three brothers and a sister, named Harry, John, Sydney and Ivy. She was the second youngest of the five children.
