Wolstan was born in 1524 in Catworth, Huntingdonshire, England.  Wolstan's father was Mr Thomas Dixie and his mother was Mrs Anna Jephson.  His paternal grandparents were Mr Francis Dixie and Mrs NK Beridge. He had three brothers and two sisters, named Richard, John, Walter, Agnes and NK.  He died at the age of 70 on January 8th, 1594 in St. Michael Bassishaw, London, England.
