Maria Monica's father was Joannes Franciscus Collin and her mother was Maria Angelina Collin. Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Franciscus Collin and Andilia Huygens; her maternal grandparents were Joannes Baptist Collin and Anna Maria Verbeeck. She has two brothers and three sisters, named Alphonsius, Petrus , Maria Coleta, Francisca and Maria Theresia.-
