Anna's father was Carolus Colin and her mother was Anna Maria Gaethofs.  Her paternal grandparents were Joannes Colin and Magdalena Paels. She had two brothers and a sister, named Jan Baptist, Carolus and Maria Margareta.  She was the second youngest of the four children.
