Felix was born on December 15th, 1860 in Lummen.¹ Felix's father was Petrus Aerts and his mother was Ludovica Vermeynen. His paternal grandparents were Charles (Carolus) Aerts and Philippina Meuws. He had three brothers and a sister, named Ludovicus, Carolus, Alfons and Maria Victorina. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died at the age of 80 on March 19th, 1941 in Lummen.
