Iñigo was born in Badajoz, España.  Iñigo's father was Gomez Suarez (de Figueroa) and his mother was Isabel Mosquera.  His paternal grandparents were Pedro Suarez (de Figueroa) and Blanca Sotomayor; his maternal grandparents were Vasco Mosquera and Isabel Quijada.  He was an only child.  He died in Popayán.
